Wellness to Work

This programme is here to support people in Kirklees who are out of work and want help getting back into employment - or staying in work once they’re there. Whether you’ve been out of work for a while or just need a bit of extra support, we offer a personalised approach tailored to your needs.

It starts with a one-to-one assessment to understand what might be getting in the way of finding work - things like health, confidence, skills, or general wellbeing. From there, you’ll work with a dedicated Wellness to Work Officer to put together a clear action plan, based on realistic, achievable steps.

Your Wellness to Work Officer will support you throughout the whole journey, not just at the beginning. They’ll also help if you’re not quite ready to start work, by putting together a supported plan over three to six months to help you move forward at your own pace.

We work closely with local partners such as Get Set Goal, KAL, Kirklees College and TSL, so you’ll also have access to training, wellbeing support and other useful services.

Who can take part?

This programme is for anyone aged 18 to 64 in Kirklees who isn’t currently working. It’s free to access and there’s no pressure - just support to help you take the next step.

This is a government-funded pilot open to all residents in Kirklees, with similar support available across West Yorkshire.
