Every year, over 20 million people across the UK volunteer, donating over 100 million hours to their communities every week.

Volunteers bring fresh ideas, enthusiasm and experience, so why not volunteer with Locala, because we recognise that everyone has a skill they can share!

We recruit volunteers from all sectors of the community and hope to match you with the most appropriate opportunities to suit your needs and expectations.

Kirklees Volunteering Quality Award

Locala is proud to be reaccredited with the Kirklees Volunteering Quality Award. This certificate is awarded to organisations to show that they involve volunteers in ways that have been agreed as good practice by TSL Volunteering Kirklees, Kirklees Council and Third Sector Leaders. Good practice includes making sure volunteering is open to everyone, encouraging volunteers to develop their skills and offering support and supervision to active volunteers.

Kirklees Volunteer Profile

Locala is registered to issue volunteers with a Kirklees Volunteer Profile.  Anyone who volunteers within our Kirklees-based services can be issued with the profile to showcase details about their volunteer role within Locala.  The Kirklees Volunteer Profile can be shared with prospective colleges, universities and/or employers, or simply kept as an official record of the volunteering undertaken.
