Working with Locala

Be part of our success story and contribute to our exciting future. Locala is proud to be a social enterprise owned by its colleagues and community members.

Our vision as a social enterprise is that we believe in supporting people to have better lives by investing all of our resources into local communities. We were rated as "good" across all our services in our latest CQC inspection and now we're aiming for "outstanding". Locala has also recently been awarded the Investors in People Silver Award.

Our 1400 colleagues perform a variety of roles from podiatrists, nurses and health care assistants to speech and language therapists, school nurses, health visitors and physiotherapists. We also have colleagues in support roles such as finance, human resources, quality, patient engagement, communications, administration and estates. "We really wanted to say thank you to our Heath Visitor Helen.  You were the first professional that actually sat down and listened to us and we can't honestly put into words grateful we are and have been for all the support we have received. You have been a true blessing and lifeline for us and we are eternally grateful for you getting us to where we are now."

A number of Locala's nursing colleagues hold the title of Queen's Nurse with the Queen's Nursing Institute. The QNI is a key supporter of community nursing:

"We would like to personally thank each District Nurse that cared for our mum day and night, you were so gentle, compassionate and supportive. She meant everything to us and the support you gave did not go unnoticed."

"I would just like to send some feedback about the support Naz offers to the Diabetes team but particularly the help and support that you offer to me. This has been a tremendous help to me in a service that has had to change in how it functions due to the pandemic. Your input here has relieved a lot of pressures. Thank you!"

"The family would like to thank everyone involved in our father's care - everyone was amazing. Their dad was able to die, symptom free and peacefully at home which was his wish. Locala District Nurses have been fantastic and we are so very grateful."
