Welcome to Locala’s Dietetic Outpatient website. Using the link to the right, healthcare professionals can make a referral to our service, after which it will be directed to a dietitian to triage which ensures referrals are seen by the most appropriate clinician. Service users can expect to be contacted by us shortly after their referral has been made and will be invited to book an appointment at a time and date that suits them.
Please note: Referrers will no longer receive an email from us to confirm we have received your referral.
Dietitians are the only nutritional experts, regulated by the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) that translate evidence into practical, personalised advice.
We kindly ask that for anyone who is housebound that you please refer to the Locala Adult Therapies Services Community Dietitians via e-referral or Single Point of Contact on 0300 304 5555
We are unable to provide general healthy eating/lifestyle group education sessions to community groups but the British Dietetic Association website has some really useful, free to use healthy eating fact sheets that you may wish to look at: Food Facts | British Dietetic Association (BDA)
Self-referrals and referrals direct from care homes are not accepted – we kindly ask that you obtain a referral via your GP surgery.
