GP colleagues refer a variety of skin conditions to this community based clinic. Skin surgery is also performed here. If a condition needs hospital care, the team will refer on into NHS hospital systems.

Skin conditions dealt with directly at Moorfield Clinic includes:

• Eczema (not if requires systemic therapy / hospitalisation of acute flares)
• Psoriasis (not if requires systemic therapy / hospitalisation of acute flares)
• Acne 
• Urticaria
• Non-malignant lumps/bumps
• Solar Keratosis
• Bowens' disease
• Cysts / Lipomas - selected
• Skin infections
• Lichen Planus (If of limited extent and not associated with hepatitis C/systemic disease)
• Rosacea
• Perioral Dermatitis
• Non-Scarring Alopecia
• Hirsuitism
• Hyperhidrosis
• Seborrhoeic Keratosis

Skin conditions to be directed to secondary care include urgent cases of:

• Eczema
• Psoriasis
• Initiation of immuno-supressants (through shared care may be feasible after initial stabilisation in secondary care)
• Severe acne requiring Roaccutane
• Skin malignancy (BCC/SCC /Melanoma Lymphona)
• Bullous Disorders
• Scarring Conditions (e.g. DLE)
• Systemic Disorders
• Leg Ulcers
