Common Foot Problems - Verrucae

Verrucae are a type of wart that affect the soles of the feet. Most people will have warts at some point. They usually go away on their own, but this can take months or even years. Verrucae often have small black dots and hard skin over the top. There may be just one, several in different areas of the feet, or a mosaic of many small verrucae.

Who is eligible?

Verrucae are not treated by NHS podiatry services. Following the advice in the links above will help.
If you want treatment, you should seek the services of an independent HCPC-registered podiatrist — The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) | The HCPC — or the podiatry clinic at the University of Huddersfield: Podiatry Clinic - University of Huddersfield.
