Please see below information regarding the SHARE App. There is a section for parents/carers wanting more details about the app and a section for professionals who are supporting parents/carers, children and young people.
To support referrals, we are introducing a mobile phone app called SHARE for you to provide additional information about your child's speech and language skills.
This is a great way to help us decide whether the referral is needed and to give you good ideas on what you can do at home to help your child.
You will need to download the app and complete the Questionnaire; this will help our therapists decide whether your child needs an assessment. It is important that you complete the Questionnaire within 2 weeks of the referral being submitted.
If you need help with the SHARE app or Questionnaire, please attend one of our Drop-in Sessions or contact us on 0300 304 5555.
If the Questionnaire is not completed, the referral will not be accepted.
It will also be helpful if you can complete the other activities on the app which include uploading a video of your child and/or completing the speech activities.
Once this information is received, you will receive a report informing you whether your referral has been accepted or declined and giving you feedback on your child's speech and language strengths and needs.
If the referral is accepted, the Speech and Language Therapists will share activities and tips about how you can help your child while waiting for your appointment with us.
