Bed/Cots

There are a number of different equipment solutions to support children to access toileting facilities and support the different stages of toileting. Including supporting families/ carers with the initial stages of toilet training as well as providing solutions for safe moving and handling when accessing toileting facilities to support the child/ young person and family/carers. The idea of equipment is to support a positive and dignified experience when accessing the toilet. Again as with the seating the complexity of toileting equipment has a large range and would be assessed on an individual basis, with ranges including potty chairs, seats to go over the toilet, self-propelling chairs, multi-functional seats that can be used for both accessing the toilet and bathing and changing stretchers.
