Once we have received your child’s referral, we aim to triage it within 2 weeks and then plan an initial assessment within 4 weeks.
The assessment is the opportunity for you and your child to discuss the reasons for referral to the continence service using a confidential approach. We will then consider which treatments and care pathway is appropriate to meet your child’s continence needs.
We will then follow up with you and your child at regular intervals to ensure you and your child feel supported and to ensure the agreed treatment plan is active.
We aim to work in partnership with you and your child to maximise your childs independence and promote continence.
