Locala's Roadshow to Promote Safer Sleep in Local Communities

This June, Locala Health and Wellbeing will be out and about in Kirklees and Calderdale, sharing safer sleep advice for babies and young children – and we’d love for you to join us.

Our clinical van will be in local areas on:

Monday 2nd June

Friday 6th June

Thursday 12th June

Our team will be available to talk to parents, carers and families about safer sleep, share useful tips, signpost local support, and answer any questions.

Working in Partnership

We’ve worked closely with key partners to plan and coordinate this event. On Monday 2nd June, a Community Champion from Fresh Futures will join us with the van at Asda to support the campaign and help signpost families to local services.

Why Safer Sleep Matters

Safe sleep reduces the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), sometimes called cot death. Simple steps – like placing babies on their backs to sleep, keeping sleep spaces clear, and avoiding overheating – can make a big difference. We're here to raise awareness and support families to feel confident in creating safe sleep routines.

Bringing Care to the Community

Our clinical van helps us take services directly into communities, making it easier for people to access care, information and support. Whether it’s advice, a quick chat or signposting to further help, we’re here to support you where you are.

No booking needed – just pop by for a chat. We look forward to seeing you there.
