Thank you to everyone who helped support our first Locala Community Event in Batley last month which saw us connect with a range of people. 

More than 20 stalls involving both Locala services and partner organisations joined the event with activities including healthchecks, immunisations, diabetes checks; information on recruitment, volunteering, and intermediate care.

Several local businesses got involved and donated refreshments and raffle prizes as part of the fundraising element of the event hosted at the Al-Hikmah Centre in Batley.

We’re now reviewing all the feedback from colleagues and attendees to help plan future community events and activities to spread the word about our services.

A big “thank you” too to Locala colleagues Raheema Chopdat and Naz Bibi who worked tirelessly to co-ordinate the event (photo above).
