Locala's Community Fund 2023/2024 is now open for applications

Grants of up to £1500 to support community projects and groups in Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Stockport, and Tameside are now available as Locala’s Community Fund is open for 2023/2024.

Every year, The Locala Community Fund donates at least £10,000 to community, third sector and charity organisations in Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Stockport, and Tameside. Over recent years the funding has supported a variety of community, not for profit and voluntary groups doing exciting and important work in their local area.

These have included Scouts and Brownies, junior sports clubs and church groups as well as programmes supporting people dealing with issues such as dementia, social isolation, drug and alcohol misuse and disability, along with work to promote community cohesion and environmental programmes.

Donna Oldman, Locala's Social Impact Manager says, "It's amazing to witness the excellent work happening in our communities and to contribute to various activities through our Community Fund.

"Being a social enterprise, Locala has the flexibility to genuinely impact our local communities. We collaborate with community groups, ensuring that our communities remain the focal point of our efforts.”

"The projects funded by the Community Fund are chosen by Locala members, including our colleagues and community members. They have their say and vote for the projects they would like to receive funding.”

Locala Community Partnerships, is a not-for-profit social enterprise providing NHS community healthcare services in Bradford, Calderdale and Kirklees.
