Would it be possible for us to nominate fellow volunteers at the annual awards nights for the Volunteers Award?

The welcome area in the new Baby Café feels too clinical and cold.  Can families be invited to wait in a different area of the building?
Kirklees Breastfeeding Peer Supporter

Welcome area moved to a more comfortable, carpeted room.  Families have fed back this makes them feel more settled and is a better environment for both them and their babies whilst they wait.

Child Development Centre – Patient Helper

Volunteer Services Manager arranged a second induction with the team – the volunteer now feels more settled and part of the team, confident to approach people if they have any queries.  Future inductions will be more thorough.

I felt there was more I could do during the quieter times, so asked the nurses if there were any other tasks I could carry out.
Walk in Centre – Patient Helper

Two new additional tasks now added to the volunteer role, making the role even more fulfilling.
