Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) is a preventative programme offered to young mothers having their first baby. It begins in early pregnancy and is oriented to the future health and well-being of the child. The FNP has three overarching goals:

  • To improve antenatal health

  • To improve child health and development

  • To improve economic self-sufficiency

To be eligible for our service, teenage mums need to be:

  1. Pregnant with their first baby

  2. 18 years or under unless they have been in the care system, then we can take up to the age of 19yrs

  3. Resident in Kirklees


          We are unable to accept this clients who are having their second child

            We are unable to accept clients who are not Kirklees residents

            Now that you are pregnant, there are other health services you may be entitled to. A family nurse from the Family Nurse Partnership may contact you to give more information.
