Pain and Bleeding

For women, changes in your bleeding pattern are very common, particularly on certain types of contraception, and pain at a regular point in your cycle may be normal.

Pain or bleeding can also be caused by infection, especially if you’re under 25 or you've had a sexual risk e.g. change in partner or unprotected sex.

You can get advice on bleeding linked to contraception from your GP.
