How do I get referred?

You may be referred by your GP, other health care professional, or self referral.

How long do I have to wait once I have been referred?

Once referred, you will be sent an opt in letter from the Podiatry service asking you to contact us within 3 weeks to make an appointment. There is then usually a 4-6 week wait until your allocated appointment.

What do I do if I need a home visit?

Please be aware we reserve home visits for those patients who are unable to leave their home at all. People who are able to go to their GP surgery, go shopping, to the hairdressers, to visit family, on holiday etc are NOT classed as housebound.

If you are able to access a car / taxi, with or without assistance, we expect you to attend one of our clinics for treatment.

Do you treat children?

Yes, advice and treatment will be given as necessary. children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Do I have to pay for insoles?

No, you do not have to pay for your first pair of insoles. However, if you lose, break or require another pair you will have to pay for them.
