Community groups in Kirklees, Calderdale and Bradford are once again being invited to apply for funding from the Locala Community Fund.
Grant applications of between £100 and £1,000 to help fund local initiatives can now be made, with the closing date noon on August 3.
Applications are welcome from local, not-for-profit community or voluntary organisations with proposals designed to provide long-term benefits to the local community.
We set up the fund just over four years ago as part of our commitment to supporting our local communities. Twice a year, groups with health, environmental or community interests are invited to apply. So far almost £50,000 has been awarded to local groups ranging from food banks to allotment schemes and scouts.
As a membership organisation, Locala’s employee and community members have a say in which applications are supported, awarding either all or part of the money requested.
