Locala Community Fund 2017

The Locala Community Fund offers local not-for-profit, community and voluntary groups the chance to apply for up to £1,000 to put towards a project proposal that has a health, environmental or community focus, and will provide long-term benefits to the local community.

19 different community groups have applied for a Locala Community Fund grant – 3 groups are located in Bradford, 11 groups in North Kirklees, 1 group in South Kirklees and 4 groups in Calderdale. A total of £16,235 has been applied for by the July 2017 applicants.

We are inviting members to vote for the groups that they think are most deserving of financial support, as part of our drive to get members more involved. The organisations have been divided into two categories: Equipment and Resources and Running Costs and Refurbishments. Please click on the circles below to find out more information about the groups that have applied for funding this year and their project proposals. You may find it helpful to make a note of those groups that you think are most deserving of financial support as you go along before clicking on the voting link below.

Then all you need to do is simply vote for five groups that you think should get a share of the £5,000 available funding by clicking here.

All votes will be taken into account when Locala’s Members’ Council make the final decision as to which groups will receive funding so your vote really can make a difference!

Please note, where possible Members' Council try and support applicants from all areas and across a range of different projects so they would be grateful if members could please bare this in mind when voting.
